PregnancyBliss Yoga and Relaxation
Our Pregnancy Bliss classes will not only physically strengthen your body and relax your mind, but you will also learn a variety of essential tools and techniques to prepare you throughout your pregnancy for labour and birth.
Uniquely tailored to support you on the amazing journey of pregnancy and birth, our classes will introduce you to a variety of techniques to help soothe away aches and pains and relax the mind so that you can enjoy your pregnancy at every stage and prepare for the birth of your beautiful baby.
Suitable for all stages of pregnancy from 12 weeks onwards.
£10 per class or £55 for a 6 class carnet (drop in)
A typical class will involve a gentle warm up, centering yourself and breathing gently moving onto to hip opening poses. Flexible muscles especially in the hip and pelvic area are essential and we practise gentle movements to assist in achieving flexibility. Movements on all fours will help take the weight off your feet and relieve the pressure of the baby on the lower spine and are also wonderful for childbirth preparation and they are ideal for maintaining the progress of labour without using up too much effort and energy. Standing postures follow, the main purpose of these is to help strengthen your body and use gravity during labour. Some work is done on a gym ball which helps keep the pelvis mobile and flexible and the spine supple.
Relaxation is an essential part of practice. At the end of every session you lie on a mat with a blanket over you as you are guided through a gentle mental relaxation exercise. Just by slowing down your breathing, and making sure you are generally slowing down the pace of your activities will help you become more relaxed.
Pregnancy yoga at the secret garden was a fantastic class. Isabelle is a fantastic teacher and was always there for support and advice. This gentle and restorative postnatal class focuses on strengthening, healing and relaxing your body, mind and spirit after birth. Combining gentle postnatal yoga inspired exercises with relaxation, mindfulness and destressing techniques, the class will leave you revived and restored.
Baby Massage and Baby Yoga 6 week courses

Baby Massage Classes are suitable from birth and will help settle and soothe wind, constipation and colic and also encourage babies to sleep. Besides learning a head-to-toe baby massage routine we also discuss a variety of parenting topics including how to settle crying babies, encouraging good sleep, weaning, teething and much more.

Suitable from 8-10 weeks Baby Yoga provide a range of physiological benefits in infant development including developing your baby’s balance, co-ordination and sensory motor skills. Regular baby yoga will help with growth and muscle tone and strengthen the baby’s digestive, nervous, respiratory and immune systems. The class also includes fun songs and rhymes and gentle postnatal stretches for mothers and a lovely relaxation at the end!
Mats, towels and oil are all provided and courses are supported with detailed illustrated handouts. Changing and bottle-warming facilities are all available.
A unique 2-hour DaddyBliss ‘dads-only’ combined baby massage and baby yoga workshops that provide special bonding time for daddy and baby. The session is very informal and I teach the whole massage routine, some baby yoga and have a discussion with the dads in a friendly, non-judgemental environment so that everyone feels welcome. We also have refreshments.
You, (mummy), are welcome to come to the Secret Garden and have a coffee in the cafe while you wait or book yourself a well-deserved massage in our treatment room. You are of course welcome to leave them and do whatever you want!
One of the main benefits for dads learning how to massage the babies is that it gives them some tangible techniques to help babes with wind, colic and sleep and is an opportunity to meet other dads and chat and share their experiences. Dads often feel at a loss as to how to help and how to get involved, especially if you are breastfeeding, and many of them having attended my workshops have taken over massage in the evening, it becomes ‘their thing’ to do with the baby.
